I’m Chris.

This is more than a business. It reflects my values and commitment to doing careful, meaningful work—guided by quality, intention, and care.

How I Practice

Like kintsugi, my approach values integration over erasure. What has already been tried, what hasn’t worked, and what has been endured all matter. Care is shaped by those experiences, not in spite of them.

I don’t believe there is a single right way to practice psychiatry—only a right way for the person sitting in front of you.

My approach is shaped by attentiveness and adaptability. I adjust how I show up based on who I’m working with, recognizing that different people need different things from care. Some want clear structure and direct guidance. Others need space, curiosity, or time to build trust. Effective treatment begins with understanding that difference.

I place a strong emphasis on collaboration. Patients are not passive recipients of treatment, but active participants in decisions about their care. My role is to bring clinical expertise, pattern recognition, and perspective—while respecting each person’s lived experience and goals.

Medication management, when used, is thoughtful and intentional. I prioritize understanding context, past responses, and tolerability, aiming for clarity over complexity and avoiding unnecessary trial-and-error. Adjustments are made deliberately, with clear reasoning and shared understanding.

Above all, I value the therapeutic relationship. People tend to do best when they feel heard, respected, and understood. My goal is to create a space where that can happen—one that supports honest conversation, careful decision-making, and steady progress over time.
